Industry Resources

EMPEA is committed to providing its members and the broader industry with useful information on an ever-expanding body of information about best practices and industry standards.  The following pages include a collection of resources useful to both the private equity practitioner and the investor. These include:

  • The EMPEA Toolkit, which summarizes approaches to various aspects of fund operations, ranging from formation and fundraising to investment practices and investor relations.
  • The Library of Development Indicators for Private Equity Funds, a list of widely accepted metrics for the assessment of economic and development impact by private equity funds, as developed by the International Financial Institutions Working Group under the leadership of DEG and the European Investment Bank.
  • Information on industry standard practices and guidelines relating to valuation, reporting and performance measurement, and corporate governance.
  • Information on other venture capital and private equity associations in both emerging and developed markets and links to sites of interest.

In the future, these pages will expand to include industry reports and other third party content. EMPEA’s Research Team will assess all content for relevance prior to posting.

EMPEA welcomes suggestions and submissions of content for consideration from both members and non-members.  For further information, please contact the Research team at research@empea.net or +1 (202) 333 8171.
